15th Anniversary of REHAU S.A. DE C.V. in Mexico
REHAU opened its doors in Mexico on June the 14th, 1993, in Celaya, Guanajuato. Now, this German company is proudly celebrating its first 15 years in the country, and its 60th anniversary worldwide.
“Many companies have come to Celaya in this time – many have also left, REHAU is here to stay”, says Mr. Joachim, Commercial Director of REHAU México and Central America. The company confirms that it is satisfied of its seat in the city of Celaya.
The development of REHAU has been a sustainable, organic growth through these years. It is a company dedicated to quality, under the motto “Unlimited Polymer Solutions”.
Just as any other industry, REHAU has faced many challenges. It has grown stronger by overcoming these. In fact, the company’s development has been astounding. “REHAU México started out manufacturing magnetic seals for the electric household appliances industry in Celaya and Monterrey, from privada Pino Suárez, in downtown Celaya and with only 14 workers; today the company employs over 300 people in modern manufacturing facilities and sales offices in Celaya and Monterrey, as well as in its distribution center in Apaseo el Grande, Gto.” says Mr. Joachim.
From Celaya, the company controls activities in the Mexican territory and, as of January 2007 also in Central America through its central administration in Celaya and its sales offices in Celaya, Monterrey and Mexico City, besides its locations in Panama and Guatemala.
Although magnetic seals for the electric household appliances industry are still our specialty; exporting directly and indirectly to the U.S. and Central America, the company has branched out to different areas such as the automotive industry and, mainly, the construction industry.
Several production lines for the automotive industry, serving directly and indirectly to important companies in the automotive sector, American, German and Japanese trademarks. “This has created the constant need to improve our processes, certify our plants under ISO in TS norms, besides transferring technology from other parts of the world to Celaya, Mexico” said Mr. Ulrich Schaefer, REHAU Director of Production for Mexico and Central America.
Within the industry sector, the company is recognized in Mexico as a leader in edgebands, magnetic seals and materials, based on its extensive deployment and global experience in these areas.
Also, the company continues its growth in the construction industry, offering PVC window and door systems with high acoustic and thermal characteristics, both for the residential and commercial segments.
With the end of complementing the range of products for the construction sector, REHAU offers radiant heating systems, drinking water plumbing systems and cutting edge technology solar panels, aiming at buildings with a high degree of energy cost savings, with its renowned reliability, ease and speed of installation.
