Prize-Winning Tambour Door System from REHAU Absorbs Sound Effectively

 

With the RAUVOLET Acoustic Line of sound absorbing tambour doors, REHAU once again demonstrates its expertise as a development partner for the furniture industry. In modern office settings with their generous proportions and open layouts, constant background noise that effects worker concentration is very common. This noise comes from technical equipment such as copiers and printers as well as telephone conversations. The unique aspect of this prize is that companies may not submit their own entries, but instead, must be nominated by the Economic Ministry and Senators of the individual German states or by the Federal Ministry for Economics and Technology. This prize is also the only official award presented by the Federal Republic to promote design.
