Hybrid Curtain Wall
REHAU-Polytec 50 hybrid curtain wall system combines the economics of polymer materials with the advantages of conventional transom/mullion construction, with the same profile acting as both transom and mullion helping to eliminate wastage.REHAU-Polytec 50 is available in white and a vast range of RAL colors as well as anodized finishes.
A hot box test according to NFRC 102-2004 achieved a U-valude of 0.28 by using a 1" glass (3/16" clear - 0.66" air space 90% Argon filled and a 3/16" low-e).
Mechanical Properties
REHAU's RAU-PVC has been specifically formulated to achieve a very high impact resistance in a large temperature range. Windows have been installed in Antarctica as well as Arizona.
Durability
REHAU's RAU-PVC special formulation for external use gives excellent resistance to weathering and aging. Many installations have been in use for over 25 years.
Fire
REHAU's RAU-PVC is difficult to ignite and will self-extinguish when the source of heat is removed.
Chemical
REHAU's RAU-PVC is resistant to atmospheric pollution and a range of acids and alkalis. The steel profiles, including the relevant fixings, are galvanized in accordance to DIN 55928.
