REHAU is pleased to present Geothermal Accreditation: Design Fundamentals & Installation on September 9-11 in Culver City, California. Developed by the International Ground Source Heat Pump Association (IGSHPA), this comprehensive three-day training course leads to certification as an IGSHPA Accredited Geothermal Installer.
The course covers the fundamentals of closed-loop design, equipment sizing and installation methods for ground source heat pump (GSHP) applications. It will follow the basic IGSHPA syllabus, but will expand on design fundamentals, equipment parameter selection and application considerations. There will be a review of system considerations for water-to-water heat pumps and their capabilities with regard to domestic hot water, radiant heating, snow and ice melting and other applications usually not covered in the standard residential GSHP course.
The course instructor is Phil Schoen, president and CEO of Geo-Enterprises, Inc., a company he founded that specializes in the design and application of geothermal heating and cooling systems. Schoen has worked in the GHP industry for over 26 years and has been involved in the installation of thousands of GHP systems in the United States, Bermuda, Korea, China and Japan.
